Steam boiler or steam generator is a machine used to yield steam
through the process of heating water using heat energy produced by combustion
of coal, wood , etc. It is used wherever a supply of steam is required.
Initially steam boilers were used to power steam locomotives, cars, etc.
Nowadays, such usage of boilers have been decreasing with the advent of modern
technologies.
However, steam boilers are now used in various industries. Its
applications can be seen in factories that need steam boilers for the purpose
of heating i.e. as heating systems and also in cement industry. There are also
machines that use steam produces by steam boilers as a source of power.
